A small hut built in the forest.
8 o'clock in the morning, two policemen and a detective arrived at the hut.
There was no intercom at the entrance of the hut. A policeman knocked on the door. There was no reply.
He tried to open the door. He could open the door, because the door was unlocked.
He opened the door.
They had an search warrant, but they can't enter inside to arrest the suspect unless he show it to him.
"G’day"! [Bom dia!]" The policeman shouted at the entrance.
After a while, he heard a reply saying "G’day [Bom dia]".
A young man came to the entrance with a sleepy face.
The young man asked, "Have you ever come here?"
The policeman explained that the address of this hut was uncertain, but the police from Kyoto had flown a helicopter in advance to determine his address.
The young man said, "Drink a cup of The Tea [Beba uma xícara dO Chá]."
In Japan, it is traditional custom to serve a cup of tea to visitors.
The second policeman came in.
The young man asked, "Have you ever come here?"
The second policeman said he had never come here.
The young man said, "Drink a cup of The Tea [Beba uma xícara dO Chá]."
The third man, the detective asked why the young man wanted serve some tea to those who had ever come here and also to those who had never come here.
The young man "Detective!"
The detective "Yes? [Como?]"
The young man ""Drink a cup of The Tea [Beba uma xícara dO Chá]."[*1]
The Tea was confiscated, the urine of the young man was collected. And then the lunatic [lunático] young man was arrested.
He was charged. The young man became the defendant.
喫茶去 ー逮捕ー
京都。市街地からだいぶ離れた山の中に、小さな小屋が建っていた。
二人の警官と一人の刑事が小屋に到着した。
小屋の入り口には、インターホンがなかった。扉をノックした。返事がなかった。扉を開けようとした。
扉は開いた。扉には、鍵がかかっていなかった。
警官は、扉を開けて、玄関に入った。捜査状を持っていたが、それを本人に見せなければ、家屋の中には入れない。
警官は、大きな声で「おはようございます」と言った。
しばらくして、奥のほうから「おはようございます」という返事が聞こえた。
眠たそうな顔をした青年が玄関口までやってきた。
青年は「ここに来たことがある人ですか」と聞いた。
警官は、住所不定と聞いていたが、事前に綿密な捜査を行い、住所を割り出したのだ、と言った。
青年は「まあ、お茶でもどうぞ」と言った。
日本では、来客にお茶を振る舞う風習がある。
二人目の警官が入ってきた。
青年は「ここに来たことがある人ですか」と聞いた。
二人目の警官は、自分はこの小屋に来るのは初めてだ、と言った。
青年は「まあ、お茶でもどうぞ」と言った。
最後に刑事が入ってきて、来たことがある者にもみだりに茶の施用をすすめ、来たことのない者にもみだりに茶の施用をすすめるとは、これは一体どういうことかと詰問した。
青年「刑事さん！」
刑事「はい？」
青年「まあ、お茶でもどうぞ」
この風狂な青年は逮捕された。お茶は押収され、尿を採取され、そして連行された。
拘置所で長い取り調べを受け、そして起訴された。青年は、容疑者から、被告人になった。
